The City of San Marcos leases commercial portions of the 2½ acre Antique Village property located near the intersection of Grand Avenue and Linda Vista Drive. Prior to leasing, improvements were needed to relieve local flooding and development of the site.

O’Day Consultants was selected by the City of San Marcos to design the widening of the existing channel south of Grand Avenue, realignment of an existing sewer main and manholes, frontage improvements such as curb/gutter/sidewalk and storm drains, rough grading for the future development of a City lot, and the creation of riparian habitat. This project included the construction of a precast bridge over the widened channel for future extension of a private road (Grand Place) extending south to Linda Vista Drive. The O’Day Consultants team developed wet and dry utility plans, as well as a hydraulic/hydrology report showing calculations for determining drainage improvements, size of the sedimentation basin and channel widening. This project also included a Low Impact Development (LID) design element of bioswales.
